01.08.2013
Uglian and Pasman, two green islands of the Zadar archipelago, are divided from the mainland by the Zadar and Pasman Channels, which are only a few nautical miles wide. The islands are connected by a bridge over the Zdrelac straits, while regular ferry lines from Zadar and Biograd ensure good connections between these islands and the mainland.
Preko - has a central place on the island of Ugjan, which, as its name indicates (preko means across in Croatian),is located across the way from Zadar.
Zdrelac - this settlement developed around the church of Sveti Luka (St. Lucas) and expanded to several coves and the surrounding hills, including a new settlement near the bridge connecting the islands of Ugljan and Pasman. The attractive Zdrelac straits and the irregular coastline with beautiful sand beaches make this an attractive vacation spot.
Pasman - belongs to the Zadar island group. The Pasman Channel lies between the island and the mainland and it is dotted with dozens of tiny islands , which make this an ideal region for all types of water sports, sailing and diving. The sea currents in this area change direction every 6 hours, thus making the waters here among the cleanest in the entire Adriatic.
